  • Great vid Marcus, thanks & keep 'em coming!

I have 2 single "kooky-balls" at the moment; a 16kg and a 24kg so I'm always switching back and forth when working out. Is there a real advantage to using 2 (other than the obvious that there are some exercises you can't perform without 2 KBs- eg. renegade row)

Like when you are swinging or snatching for example, is it better with 2 KBs because you are firing more muscles at once?

  • The advantage of using two is that the more load you use the stronger you will be. When performing snatches, for example, with a 24kg, that's 24kg of load on you. When you use both the 16 and 24, you're body now has to throw around 40kg. The benefit is you will be burning more calories and getting stronger, not to mention building a little muscle.

  • how big kettlebells should i do 12kg or 16kg n how many reps?

  • If you have any injuries or problems than start with a 12kg but if you are a healthy individual then a 16kg is fine. A 12kg wil most likely feel too light for you if you have any weight training experience.

  • We prefer the ancient Kazakh term "kooky-ball"

    Great video Marcus!

  • thanks! I think i might have to start calling it a kooky ball. Better than cattle balls:)

  • Are you sure it's not a cattleball? I could have sworn that's what the guy in the gym down the street from us says...

  • I'm watching this a little late, but I laughed out loud! I'm posting it to my facebook page.

  • Thanks for putting that out. I haven't been trained with KB's (outside of watching many YouTube vids). I have followed the correct forms I have learned and never hurt myself once in...a year and a half now. KB training made a believer out of me.

  • Good stuff. I preach full body workouts all the time. And if you want to get strong, you gotta lift heavy.

  • cracking me up... keep the shows coming

  • Nicely done, funny and informative. Thats what I'm talkin about!
