Latin Asia = The Philippines (islas filipinas), East Timor, Goa (India), Macau (China)

Latin Africa = Mozambique, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon

Latin Oceania = Guam, Saipan, Caroline Islands (islas carolinas), Mariana Islands (islas marianas)

Do you think that the word Latino as one race will cover ALL of those countries with their diverse-looking people? This is why Latino cant be a race.

We have mixtures in Latin Asia as well:

Sangaley = Spanish + Chinese

Negrito = black indigenous native Filipinos

Mestizo = Spanish + Malay, or Spanish + Malay +Chinese, or White + Malay

Indio = native Malay

Castila = White Spaniard

Of course 'latino' is not a race (only gringos would really believe that). We latin americans are very different in race and even cultures, but we share a pretty similar history. Even a little afterour countries were independent, some latin countries had diplomats from a country representing another one. So, we live in the same continent, pretty much speak the same language and a similar history.

@sonofissis Not all Latinos are mixed race! There has been a lot of immigration from Europe to latin america for generations. Anyway, real latin people are from those European countries where a latin derived language is spoken!
