  • We should all start a committee or something and start talking like that...Maybe people will pick up on it and drown out the "Yo"'s and "What Up Dog?"...Somehow "lending a spice to the wooing" sounds a whole lot better than the talk of today!

  • beautiful!

  • @brycepolwarth those Mitford girls were hot and nothing but trouble. But, still....

  • Ahhh. back, once upon a time, songs were written by people of talent. Songs whose music was haunting, beautiful, and with lyrics that were sophisticated, literate, poetic, sentimental, and lovely.

As my dear old Dad used to say about "modern" music "If they spent an hour writing that song they must have spent 55 minutes looking for the G.D. pencil."

Thanks for posting this. Great old tune and a lovely arrangement.

  • Man JUST as good as the Bing version-both superb n swell.

  • Wonderful singer! wonderful Words! Wonderful melody!

This song is a real favourite of mine, and I thank you so much for sharing.

  • really nice,thank you

  • Another great British dance band. Thank you for putting him back on the air.

My laptop is connected to the input of a perfect reproduction of a 1930's Crosley table-top radio.

Just the thing for listening to the wonderful '20's and '30's music found on U-tube.

  • A real shame the way that wonderful word was hi-jacked and twisted around into a totally different meaning. It used to work so well in song lyrics as it was an easy rhyme.

  • Exquisite, as is to be expected from Ambrose. Eagerly looking forward to see your photographs!
