When Owen has a free afternoon, he likes to spend it with a new piece of gear. Last week, that's exactly what he did with the Brace Audio DWG-1000 Digital Wireless Guitar System.

This being one of the more epic gear demos we've done lately, we invite you to get comfortable and prepare to learn everything you need to know about this thing with the two little boxes.

Special bonus: See the part of the Gearwire Studio not draped with a big black tablecloth!

  • @meetchadcrew Thanks guys for the help !! I've bought the unit and am quite happy with it , there is a very very slight latency experienced but i've used it live fir a while n its not too much of a prob anymore.

  • Shit fuck video quality.

  • @noshatch19 Yes, it will work on a bass

  • @slash129 the batteries, doesn't change the sound at all that you would normally have without a wireless system, you can hook pedals up even with the wireless system, just plug the chord coming directly from the reciever into your pedals and then directly to the amp. It comes with a clip to hook it onto your pants or belt and a velcro band to hook it onto your strap. I've only had this for a few days now but I'd reccomend it, and it has no cell phone or home phone interfierence.

  • @slash129 It's a pretty good system, costs anywhere between 160-250 dollars. The system has a range of 30 meters(98 feet), however if you are being seperated from your system by multiple walls it will cut out, but you'll probably never run into that problem on stage, It is very easy to hook up, and comes with a power supply for the amlifier reciever, however once you plug it in, whether you're playing or not, it is turned on, so you don't want to leave it plugged in lying around or itll eat up

  • Anybody have any experience with feedback on high gain sounds?

  • I want to buy this unit , i want info from ppl who have it ?? how good is it ?? how much does it cost ??

  • I have a problem with one of this. When the receiver is looking for the transmitter, its emites to the amp a quiet "pi.pi.pi.pi" sound. After connection, ive got a non stopping "piiiiiiii...." thing. On a clean channel it isnt so bad, but after turning to overdrive its really gets loud. Im also using a Boss overdrive to boost the overdrive, and then its makes the Brace Audio really unusefull. My gear: guitar with and EMG active set>Brace Audio DWG1000>Boss SD-1>Marshall Valvestate 8100

  • yes, and by the way there are 64000 channels not 4 :)

  • Forgive me but rule #1 should be to demo this groovy gear with an in tune guitar. Scrapes a nerve.
