  • Can you use normal wood stains before finishing with the CA glue?

  • @Gorfickle

Thanks for watching my videos. Yes, you can use wood stain or almost any other finish before you use the CA glue.

  • great vid thanks! do you boil your own linseed oil or use off the shelf? (off the shelf usually has metallic dryers added which is why i ask)

  • @MrEnyoc --- Thanks for watching my video. Sorry for the delay in posting. I buy the oil right of the shelf and have not noticed any problems. ---John---

  • @DuMb666SkUlL -- Thanks for watching my videos. There are several ways to finish the pen. I usually use the oil before applying the glue. ---John---

  • do you need to put the linseed oil and thick ca glue before the satin finish and polished finish bar things?

  • great exhibition, thanks!

  • Nothing special at all. You can get both the mandel and buffing pad at Lowes or Home Depot. Often they are found in a combo package. Check in the 'grinding wheel' section of tools.
