I hate it when ITV do a west end show to find someone, BBC do it well but ITV are rubbish because ITV have microphone's which they hold and the studio is rubbish on bbc there are microphones round there ear and the studio is a million times better!

it was obvious from the start they would win... they were the 'chosen' ones, happens in every television contest.

No it didn't. Andrew Lloyd Webber had the original idea and they stole it from him. I remember reading about it at the time. He was not happy.

Grease was on ITV the same time BBC had Any dream will do. I watched BBC and recorded ITV thats how I was able to put these vids on.

The US show copied the format of UK's "How do you solve a problem like Maria," which looked to cast the Sound of Music. UK's "Grease is the Word" then copied back US's "You're the one that I want."
