Bowie is so unique! When you think of his era, you have Zep, The Stones, Cream, Beatles, Hendrix, etc etc. Beatles & Stones were a little earlier 60& 62', Bowie on the scene in about 67'. The British Invasion groups were heavilly influenced by Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Elvis, Robert Johnson and the like. What I am getting at, is (who was Bowie influenced by)? Where did he get his style from? Ground control came out in 1969, the yr we went to the moon. Anyone know? Bowie's a genius!
