The creative movement class offered through the Dance Collective develops the young child's creative abilities, while learning basic elements of dance including the use of body parts, shape, space and locomotion combined with stories and feelings while having a great deal of fun. The teacher works with the letters of the day, then reads a book to help the preschoolers recognize the letters. Then the dance is based on that story for the day. Here, in this video the class learns about straight lines after listening to story about an owl's flight.
