IRAN PROTEST FOREVER!

The thing about all this that really got me was how the social media connected us all to this event in a way never seen before. By blocking all the normal media, the powers that be in Iran created a situation where people with their hand held devices created an intimate, up-close, and personal experience that we all were a part of. Even though I am in US, I feel as close to these people as if they were my neighbors. Then to make matters worse for the iranian autocrats, the main media broadcasted it all as well. Amazing. Game over for repressive dictatorships. In the end, I think the sword will not be mightier than the twitter.

zg1000dru1 is completely right; America has been inteferring with Iran for bloody ages; I'm half Iranian and get really pissed off at people who form an opinion with no knowledge of Irans history. I have a lot of love for the country and I understand the beef with the Muslim dictatorship but I do not want them to be another wholesome family orientated country who is horribly poisoned by the disgsuting American ideals of capitalism. people in the west think they are free; fucking bullshit.

Those here bashing on Iran, understand this...Iran was a democracy, the first predominantly Muslim democracy in the Middle East, then a large western power (just guess which one) decided to overthrow their democracy, install a puppet dictator, help train his death squads, and, in so doing planted the seeds of the Islamic Revolution.
