Some very early results with Augmented Reality (AR) on an iPhone 3G. This video shows an adaptation of the Parallel Tracking and Mapping system to an iPhone. All processing is done live on the phone.

is there any free, cool and works on "3G" AR app at Appstore?

@activevision well, there already are some AR apps and I will name the ones I know. ARdefender and Virtual Santa. I think these use ARToolkit and not PTAM but still... AR is already here but for some reason it didn't get the attention I would have loved it to have.

Re App store: You're unlikely to see AR apps on the store any time soon, since the camera API is officially off-limits.
Re library: Since it can't be released on the app store, this would probably fall foul of apple's developer NDA. And anyway it's not even close to ready for release yet!
