I remember seeing this on the "making of" special back in 1989. I was only 9 at the time, and was half-convinced Zemeckis was telling the truth! I really wanted one!
It is almost 2015 now! Where are our flying cars, auto-tie shoes and HOVERBOARDS?!

@AVAMagneticlev Tesla technology. Allot of people who develop free energy devices and such seem to have "accidents" Just because the technology is not in the public, doesn't mean it doesn't exist . I'm not saying this wasn't a gag-but the technology I'm sure exists

lol...ok..I hate to be a kill-joy, but that comment was from Bob Zemeckis (director of BTTF trilogy) in 1990. IT WAS A JOKE. He got bombarded with letters from parents asking where they could buy the hoverboards and had to go back on record telling everyone it was just a joke. I'm surprised there are still ppl that think this stuff is real. I was one of those kids that wanted one (still do, lol)

@sallicio I'm not saying it wasn't a joke; But it seems highly probable that this technology exists. Tesla technology, free energy generators-things like that.
