HURT CHAPTER 20

MEG'S POV
"Ladies! Curtain goes up in 5 need you there now." Nick yelled walking through the dressing room. I absentmindedly nodded and finished putting on my eyeliner and walked towards the stage. I looked to my left and saw Carolina heading my way in a costume similar to mine. Her face looked rock hard and her cold green eyes glared at me. Liz looked at me and then went to stop Carolina but she just side stepped her and headed my way again. Just when I thought she was going to stop in front of me, she walked straight past me. We all turned to see her head for Mandy who was standing at the door in costume. "Didn't she fire her the other day?" I asked Liz she nodded absentmindedly still keeping a sharp eye on Carolina. I don't understand why or how Liz is friends with her. Liz is so sweet and bubbly while Carolina is the fucking devil's mistress. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I heard Carolina hiss at Mandy. Everyone in the room was silent watching the scene in front of us unfold. "You think you can get rid of me that easily? Carolina I helped you build this place into what it is! And I am not going to let you replace with that little whore." She said glaring at me. "Oh hell no-" "Megan shut up." Liz said grabbing my arm as I was ready to cross the room and punch her. "You didn't build shit, if anything you were the biggest burden on my ass since I was 18, and don't you dare talk about Megan. She is ten times the performer you are and will ever be and as far as I know the only whore in this room is the one I'm looking at, now get out of that costume and out of my face and if I ever see you here again or hear you talking about any of my girls I hope you know a good plastic surgeon because you're going to need one." Carolina hissed. "Fuck you." Mandy spat, grabbed her jacket, and ran out. Carolina turned around and sighed before looking at me. "What are you looking at?" I asked walking past me towards the stage. "Did she just say something nice about me?" I asked Liz and she nodded and smiled. "See I told you she doesn't hate you!" She said laughing and wrapping her arm around my neck and heading towards the curtain. The rest of the show ran smoothly and Carolina was some what nice to me. "Well that surprisingly when well." Sara said laughing after the last set. I nodded and looked at Carolina's retreating figure. "Where is she going?" I asked. Sara looked and rolled her eyes. "Her office, if she snuck any drinks in there I swear I'll kill her." Sara said about to follow her but I grabbed her arm. "I'll be right back." I said letting her go and walking after Carolina. I found the brown French doors and pushed on them. I stepped into the warmly lighted room full of pictures and fashionable chairs. I looked around the room "haven't you heard of knocking?" Carolina asked stepping into view wearing the clothes she had on earlier. "I'm sorry, I just needed to talk to you." I said and she nodded sitting down. "Well?" she asked looking at me. "What was that out there with Mandy?" I asked. "Megan no bitch is going to come into my club and insult me or my employees now if you don't mind I'd like to be alone so leave." I said nodding towards the door. I nodded and turned to walk out. I had my hand on the handle was ready to leave when I stopped and turned around. "And you're still here why?" she asked pouring herself a glass of wine for herself. "Thanks." I said and she looked up confused. "For what?" she asked. "What you said to mandy about me." I said and she looked towards a picture on her wall and nodded. "You're welcome now please leave." She said. I smiled at her and walked out. Well this day couldn't get any weirder.
