Nintendo doesn't have the rights to sonic the hedgehog. Sega made the Mario vs sonic games because they gave Sega permission to use their characters and everyone wanted a mario/sonic/ crossover. the reason the games on are Nintendo platforms is because they feature nintendo characters, so they can't be put on xbox or playstation without nintendo's permission, which probably wasn't given. but on another, if nintendo has sonic's licensing, how are sonic games on every current console

@hinata123523 no im not stupid. look up your facts. sega isnt its own console company any more, and gave rights to nintendo. hence all these mario vs sonic games on NINTENDO CONSOLES. dont call me an idiot when you obviously dont pay very much attention to the gaming world. sega still makes games, sure, but under NINTENDO licensing.

wow i haven't replied to this video in a while. not to start arguments but i would like to say that this is the game gear version. the genesis version was awesome but the game gear version sucked. i would also like to point out that, despite what most of the commentators of this video would like to believe, i am a 90's kid. i grew up with the super nintendo and played the genesis at my grandparent's house. i will admit though, that i am playing this on gems collection.

@ZennTsugaru First off Sonic 1 sold 4 million copies and Spinball nowhere near that so it's simple not true more people have played Spinball. Sonic was a failure from Adventure onwards, Sonic Adventure had horrendous controls and only sold 2.5 million copies despite it being the Dreamcasts main attraction title. I have beaten Spinball which is far from a hard game and it's really short only 4 levels, it's not the worst Sonic game but it's not in Sonic 1 - 3 & Knuckles league by a million miles.

@StephenAlexWalker how was it beyond tedious? more people have played sonic pinball than sonic 1, the original. sonic was not a failure until they brought it to the gameboy and game cube. what slaughtered it is when sega gave rights to nintendo. also? i can beat any sonic genesis game in hours flat. where as pinball takes me a bit longer. if your GOOD at the game, which im betting you not, you can beat the game, which i have. its by far one of my favorite sonic games ever.

@ZennTsugaru Ha you're kidding right? "The biggest success for the Sega Genesis Corporation"? The game was beyond tedious and didn't fair well commercially especially compared to the main Sonic franchise games (1,2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic CD). Tails Patrol was also a horrible game, I have both titles and unlike the person in the video played the Genesis back in the early 90's. As for bad Sonic games all the post '95 games were bad except the GBA series.
