International 3D Society January Event at XpanD Digital Cinema

The International 3D Society kicked off 2010 with its industry leadership meeting in Hollywood. In attendance were top executives from the worlds of film, television technology and media.

Following the organizational meeting, the society hosted its January membership reception at the new U.S. headquarters of Xpand Digital Cinema.

Guests were treated to some of the latest stereoscopic 3D movie screenings and technologies, including Alice In Wonderland, the Avatar video game, the DLP Theater Projection System, and other cutting edge technologies.

The Society also partnered with the People's Choice Awards in January for fans to vote for their favorite 3D movies of 2009. The winners will receive the People's Choice Awards at the first ever 3D Movie Awards in February. All society members will receive invitations to this live event.

The International 3D Society has been founded to advance the achievements of professionals working the arts and technologies of stereoscopic 3D. The Society will provide timely, professional seminars and screenings in order to promote industry growth.
