They make off set keys for the flywheel to reset the timing on TDC or past TDC. You may need to go this route to change the timing. Some engines also have the coil that will allow it to be moved to reset the timing for the engine.

does the setup work with the inverter replaced with a light bulb or whatever and is the +12v coming from the engines alternator or the battery?

The engine is just firing the coil on the engine, the rest is comming from the battery. I have not set it up to recharge the battery. Given time the battery would drain down and the engine would no longer start. The engine running like this will not charge the battery and give any extra power for other use. The set up shown will drain the battery to where the engine will no longer start. The system needs work to be a useful tool to use. The inverter is not used in the video's.

look at patrick j kelly chapter 10. s1r said the water was warm from sitting in the sun. P.j. kelly document says to use warm/hot water and vaporise it with an ultrasonic humidifier. I will try this myself.
