I lived in the Kales building for a couple of years after it was renovated. It was a great place to live. There was always so much to do in the area, my neighbors in the building were friendly and fun, and I never had any issues at all with safety. Despite many misconceptions about Downtown Detroit, it is an exceptionally safe city environment to live in. I have since moved on to a nice, large apartment in Manhattan, but still very much miss my old Kales home in Detroit. You won't find a better
