just rode the 09 kites sick for un-hooked tricks. I have a 06 monkey tribe with no center strut and six struts its a under rated kite. I always thought taking out the center strut would give more balance to the kite just makes since. How about no struts maybe 8 battens made from super light strong carbon fiber just pump the LE and go. might only work for the small sizes 9m and under :)
