A sneak peek at 4 Stroke Animation's Flying Polyp for Joseph Nanni's new short Elder Sign. This is the basic model, untextured, of course.

  • Looks quite good. Clearly Based on Cnidaria to some extent. Lovecraft had some pretty unique ideas.

  • We had no idea what they were when I put the design together. I just shopped together a bunch of coral and 4 Stroke did the modeling and motion. You learn something everyday.

  • So good model, I like flying polyps!! :)

  • @Cnidarious it wasn't him.. his mother was having the nightmares and she told him about them.. methinks his mother's mind was a gateway to somewhen else

  • Very cool & very creepy, especially when you know the role it plays in Lovecraft's story.

  • It´s nasty, horridous, hydeous...a nauseous nightmare...even make my skin itch only at looking at....my congratulations! A lovecraftian pride!

  • Well that's gonna give me nightmares.

  • That's really damn good looking.

It reminds me of a cross between a Sea Anemone and a human organ.

  • They certainly don't let you make flying polyps in friggin SPORE

    that game broke my heart

  • Coral <-- Cnidaria.
