Bert Sommer (February 7, 1949 -- July 23, 1990) was a folk singer who performed at Woodstock in 1969 and had a hit with the song "We're All Playing In The Same Band." He was briefly a member of baroque-pop group the Left Banke, co-writing and singing lead on the "Ivy Ivy"/"And Suddenly" single. He also played Woof in the original Broadway production of "Hair (musical)" and "Flatbush" of Kaptain Kool and the Kongs on The Krofft Supershow in 1976. He died in Troy, NY after a long battle with respiratory illness. His last performance was in Troy on June 11, 1990 with his friend Johnny Rabb.

Not only was Bert Sommer left off of the Woodstock film, but he was also left off of the plaque at the Woodstock site, which is a complete act of disrespect towards such a great musician.

OMG. I remember when I got this dvd for x-mas I loved this performance. BUT HE WASINT LISTID ON THE DVD. so maddening. This is actually such a good song. you`d think with the hell the world is going through, this music would be back on top. No more rap and hip hop, just nice and soulfull music. What I would do to meet 14 year olds that listen `d to this:(

@theantithesis1 That is Jennifer Warnes in the crowd. I think it had rained earlier, so her hair is flat, but that's her. Supporting her friend Bert Sommer who was also appearing in the West Coast production of "Hair" with her.
