Mine was a 1987 model, personally though if your still looking for an FZR400 I'd hold out for an early 1990's one with the model designation 3TJ as they look better imo. I only bought this one as it was dead cheap which meant if I threw it down the track (which i did a couple of times) I could laugh about it and get the gaffer tape out rather than cry lol

Yes I do know what a flying lap is but really you have no idea about me. I do believe your spedo is in kph & yes I can go faster on 1 wheel I've had my R1 on one wheel at 135+ MPH.

@MoiX1970 I will do when I get my video camera Im not just a know it all I was in a motorcycle display team for 7 years so I can ride I could go faster on 1 wheel. we dont all have to be perfect but no good posting a video saying its a flying lap then it aint that flying.

Nice bike, this was when Japan's major manufacturers still made high performance 400cc machines which can somewhat rival today's 600s. I love the concept of a lightweight motor that produces a ton of power. This bike is a classic and it's a tragedy they don't still make them. Especially with tiered licensing systems that cut off at 399cc in the middle tier.
