jaco was amazing because he had everything. amazing chops, a ridiculous sense of harmony, great compositional ability, but he never forgot how to play melodically and just groove.

Interesting. The musicianship of these three cannot be disputed. I'm not sure if this particular piece really establishes a rapport with the listener or is simply a technique demonstration. Respect and love to Al, Al and Jaco.
