About the video: When FedCURE invited U.S. Parole Commissioner, Patricia Cushwa to the Symposium, we realized that it was going to be a first. In fact, as Mrs. Cushwa explains: "Parole has not had a voice on the Federal level for for some 25 years." Can y...ou imagine that? 25 years of federal studies, conferences, symposiums, public meetings and God knows what on federal sentencing and no voice from the U.S. Parole Commission, until FedCURE took the initiative to invite the Commission to the table to join the debate on Rethinking Federal Sentencing Policy on the Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the Sentencing Reform. Boy! Are we glad we did. Mrs. Cushwa says it all---she is our best advocate arguing to establish a hybrid system of federal parole and increased good time allowances for federal inmates--a Second Look. Patricia is the government's top expert on federal parole. Follow her lead and advice on advocacy.
Special note: The term "Second Look" was coined by former Chairman of the U.S. Parole Commission, of 17 years, Edward F. Reilly.
