  • whats the song called?

  • 'Karma Police' and 'Lucky'

  • No offense but Dr. Manhatten's wife is annoying! If she really loved him, she would have stuck it out, no matter what happen to him!

  • Would you? There's a tragic vulnerability about her - there was a huge burden on her shoulders that she couldn't handle. Neither could Laurie later. No one could.

  • Don't you get it? She did love him, and she did her best to stay with him. But he didn't love her, not the way she needed or wanted. At that point he wasn't capable of love the way we think of it. The reason his story is so compelling is because by the time we see him with Laurie, he is only barely human anymore. He knew from the moment he came back to life from the accident that all of this would happen before it did. If he loved her, he wouldn't have made her endure it like he did.

  • Interesting forshadowing of how Dr. Jon Osterman/Dr. Manhattan is cursed with never finding happiness with ANY relationship he has with women. In the case of his first girlfriend, it was an accident motivated by love that made him what he is and how his interest in a 16 year old girl, due to forseeing future events of intimacy, ends it. It'll be interesting if this appears in the film.

  • Manhattens awful like a blue morrisey lol

  • Never clocked when i was reading it that he was staring at Dali's Persistance of memory when hes talking about living all without time.

  • I agree. Also, it's a time reference in that Manhattan & Laurie meet in the '60s. Excellent choice and presentation.

  • The music seems to fit really well with Dr.Manhatten and how he is experiencing time and how it is affecting his relationship with his wife.
