And I was trying so hard to be a snob! Damn I failed.

@sisterdiggins Industrial was around in the 70's and it always had electronic elements. So you fail at being a snob.
-
wasn't this on the "alchemy" video compilation, which also had chris & cozey, and a lot of other cool shit?
-
I love the attention to detail that is in this performance. Even though it is re-recorded, the guitarist is playing exactly the same thing. This was obviously composed and not just random noise. Amazing stuff.
-
@ninjazombie213 I still have this video from back in the day.
-
lol

Yep, this noise doesn't end or begin. It's just a bunch of sounds put together. Something anyone can do in five minutes.
-
@sisterdiggins you'd think that until you hear what Throbbing Girstle made.... if that isn't electronic then I don't know what is....
-
READ: KILLING FOR CULTURE! this video uses old explicit footage of "snuff" and death scenes.
-
It doesn't matter what "industrial" is. This era of SPK is amazing.

As I understood Industrial to be back in the early 80's , did not rely on electronics, or rather was not created by electronical means ( though it was recorded ,looped and fed back by equipment) but the rhythms and sounds were typically created
on non instruments - cast off materials .
Industrial changed mid 80's when it became more Electronic.
That was when it lost me.

Uh... Experimental music isn't really a genre, experimental bands might not have anything in common..
But yes, industrial (or more like the old school industrial) was experimental electronic music...
