This is a tribute to the legendary Bill McLaren. It is the last interview he ever gave. Stuart Cameron of Borders Rugby TV and Radio Borders interviewed the man known as "The Voice of Rugby". This is Part 5 of a 5 Part interview recorded at his Hawick home. www.BordersRugby.net
Thank you for posting this interview which is a treasure. I am not a rugby fan , don't understand the rules . However I am a huge fan of Bill McLaren his voice just resonated with passion and great dignity . What a lovely man and makes you proud to be a Scot .
Thanks for posting BordersRugbyTV, excellent, in no uncertain terms.
Heard he was at Monte Cassino. Then TB and just missing out on an international cap due to it- Christ, he has had some life lessons before he became a commentator on rugby union!
And Hawick, you heard the man, he won't be too bothered if you put up a statue of him at the end of your main street, at that junction, for the young lads to improve their snowball practice. Lovely man, will always be remembered.
7:01 brian moore should take this part into consideration, theres other teams in the world than just wales!!!

What a nice, modest self-effacing man. He wanted to be remembered for being "fair". He was.
He was also loved and I honour his passing.
