@twilightgamer92 Indeed. The ability to fly w/o transforming into a flight mode was only seen in the pilot movie, and in fact contracts the plot of the pilot movie, as at one point Orion Pax (who would go on to become Optimus Prime) expresses envy at Megatron and the Seekers' flight modes.
The animators/storyboarders probably just hadn't gotten everything synchronized with the writers yet, at that point. It never happens again.

@AnakinPrime well I don't count micheal bays shit stain of movies as anything more than a bad fanfic with nice explosions. The newest op prime I know is from the Transformers:war for cybertron and that's PRE g1 and it's still got that "spark" if you will. Of prime really cool vid btw.

I know it sounds silly, but as a child, my number-one role model and hero was Optimus Prime. You could keep all your Marvel and DC superheroes. I had Optimus Prime! The world's greatest leader! Even if he is only fictional.
He embodied everything I believe about the world. He always makes the right decision, he always knows what to do, and he knows the value of freedom.
He was my hero.

This was awesome. I never saw the series (well, all of it anyway), but can some one explain to me how some of the transformers could fly without turning into jets, or not being able to turn into jets, for that matter? If you can fly in robot form, what's the point of having a jet form OR driving?

I believe only in the very first mini series "MTMTE" all the TF's could fly in robot form....

great vid and in repsect to rodimus he did every thing when an opertunity to bing optimus back arised but optimus i still the best.
