Barack and Michelle want everyone to be poor but themselves. Where the hell did he get THAT "dream".

It's called raging hypocrisy. Interestingly enough, His Imperial Grace appears to have adopted a sort of "Louis XIV" syndrome. What's good for all of us, is NOT good enough for him and his.

3rd world socialism does propose a view of the world that's quite self-serving. I'm poor because you're rich. I hear this all the time! let's get real. Corruption is the number one cause of poverty say many economists of developing countries.

@amdivoff not that Dinesh D'Souza would know anything about the military; he spend the bulk of the Bush administration making excuses for it's foreign policy debacles.
-
@amdivoff actually the people I know the most who complain about our bloated military are people who have actually been in the military. They see the waste and the effect our imperialism has on other countries. Just because the MILITARY does a piss poor job of MANAGING IT"S MONEY (and it's wars) so that the avg soldier doesn't see that money and most of that money goes to overpaid contractors and the defense industry, doesn't mean it's not bloated.

someone who speaks of the Military as a bloated tax sucking machine has not served the country he lives in. spend a year in the Army and then run your fact mouth.
-
@john51880 so spare me your fake moral outrage & fake patriotic defense of a military that you, w/ your call for less taxes, don't want to actually PAY FOR. PAY FOR the military the way a real American should (and then pay for the help to veterans after their sacrifice---veteran funds are historically cut under the GOP leadership) and then we can talk. Otherwise, go sell that BS elsewhere. You can't have a strong defense if you let other people (including our real competition China) pay for it.
-
@john51880 even Robert Gates believe that our expenditures are too high and wants to create a more agile military instead of the big bloated military industrial machine that it has become. Turns out that what prevents attacks is good intelligence and agencies working together, not a half million trips wandering aimlessly through the desert. AGAIN, because i come from a state that has higher salaries and higher tax rates, I most likely pay more for our military than most from red states.
-
@john51880 you can avoid the harsh truths about the real failures of neo-con fiscal policies and how those neo-cons want expensive wars and their own pork and corporate welfare but don't want to pay for them (they'd rather let the BLUE STATES bear the costs of these expenditures and then turn around and call them the "socialists"). It doesn't work that way, I have no problem paying taxes to prop up our infrastructure, but not to prop up failed states who underserve their citizens.

@priorzola You will sing another tune if we are attacked again looser!
