@fairhillnorrie I know where you're coming from,, I've been there 3 times- the first time 25 years ago, and if the last time had been the first time I might feell the same, it's changed a lot since the first time I went and I'm probably a little sentimental about a Venice without such massive crowds and when the Venetians were grateful for tourists and not rude to them...

@fairhillnorrie marks out of 10 for Venice -- well, the people are rude, they charge a fortune for everything, the shops all sell the same thing, it's absolutely packed out, but I would still give it 20 out of 10! Everything about it is so beautiful.
