Chad Shawger takes us inside the flex offense. Shot with the help of the Tri-Valley Middle School Boys Basketball team.

  • no spacing. Flex needs to be put in a dark place.

  • The key to any offense is good spacing, the flex as you show it would have a minimum of 8 players in the key. A true motion offense streches the floor, with players outside the arc. This could easily be defended with ball pressure and either switching or going over or under the screen and beating your man to the spot. The three keys to great offense are, spacing, ball movement, and player movement. This has only one. And it is player movement. No spacing, No ball movement. No offense.

  • Get off the zoom next time. Take a wide shot of the court so the movement can be seen.
