Me driving our race prepped Toyota MR2 Mk1 on a track day at Cadwell Park. There were showers a few times throughout the day so most of the time, such as in the video, the track was wet/damp. I have also included a few shots of people who got it a bit wrong. Track day was on 11/11/07, driver is Alex Gassman

  • was that a civic that passed you near the end of the last two laps? Looks like you had a bit of trouble gaining up to him. What motor are you runnning 16V or 20V?

  • The one that passed us at 4:00 was a 306 GTi-6, the only thing on the day that was quicker than us over a lap. 16v 1600cc! - 122bhp, compared to the Pug's 170bhp.

  • 1:25 to 1:30 Perfect spining

  • Don't get you I'm afraid...

  • Thats me in the Yaris right at the end where the Nexia spun in front of me, glad you didnt catch my 2 spins lol.

Glad to hear it was minimal damage on your car that day.

  • Ha, I did happen to catch one of your spins actually, all be it on a still camera. I got a few pics of your car, if you're interested in seeing them give me an addy to send them to!

  • What a beautiful track... Wow...

  • Nippy little car that, nippier 306 though lol.

That SW20 just shows how poor they can be... I wonder if the owner of the RED MK2 MR2 in Grimsby who binned it on the Bush Tyres roundabout (A180) on Boxing day 2007 is here, I was in the white MK1 who had no such problems negotiating the wet roundabout!

    Bloody love MK1's.

    Do you do Cadwell often?

  • Good drive - looked a bit wet that day, but didn't seem to slow you down much! Doing a trackday at Cadwell tomorrow (first time) - useful vid seeing the lines etc. Nice one!

  • nice man, i love these cars. and the sound of the airfilter is pretty mint!

  • What a great track!

We really have nothing in Australia.lol

OK, Bathurst is great and Pillip Island but we have nothing like this tasty little morsal!

Well l pick up my SW20 next week and will have to settle for the 2km goat tracks which we have here in Australia.

    Best of Luck

    Steve
