@LateNightCable I see what you're saying. And I agree. But we should definately acknowledge the past, and I definately wouldn't be proud of it. And there are certain things we should probably still deal with it. I think the Natives would appriciate it if we took the "Indian" off their reserve signs and various Acts. And I'm pretty sure the Catholic Church still has a small list of things they haven't apologized for. And, they are a historically "white" religion. Just examples.

@Iderray Say for a minute there are debts to be paid by the white race. Who's to say when they are paid in full? And what would keep minorities from milking it for life? We can't be responsible for the actions of those who came before us, or limited by them. That's one thing many blacks who still feel like slaves have never understood.

@LateNightCable Maybe the Aztecs (Mexicans being the closest living reletives), the Africans, the Japanese, the Native Americans, the Pygmy people of Australia (wiped out), whatever we call those guys from South America, the Muslims (religion, not a culture, but close enough). Can anyone else add anybody the white's have been jerks to over years of history?
I'm not sayin' they all have a right to hate us, but we kind of do owe debts.

''Redneck pride'' is a socially acceptable way of saying you're proud to be white... There's nothing wrong with that, I'm proud as hell of my Anglo-Saxon heritage. Wouldn't want to be anything else. Every other race of people are given free license to openly proclaim their racial pride, and nobody thinks anything of it. As soon as a white person proclaims their own pride, minorities are calling you a bigot, or the overused "racist". I don't buy it. The white race owes no debts to anybody.

@shmuli9 That's true, you can make a lot of things from 55 gallon drums; my dad also makes all his deer feeders from them, lol.
-
@MandiLynn18 Heh... My parents never made a grill out of a 55 gallon drum, but that's fairly common (not just a redneck thing). Actually, one can make a LOT of things from a 55 gallon drum.
