  • They're light and they look good... but the last time hers went in for repair it went to Canada, then Australia, then France and back here. It was literally a 6 month, "around the world" repair.

  • You may be right 'cos I noticed that french pilots never put all the visors at the same time but I didn't mean that Gallet are the most comfortable but i think they are the most protective and the lightest.

  • Having worn both helmets in the L-39 and other aircraft, I personally the ZSh-7.

My g/f flies contract EMS and SaR for the Coast Guart and she's a big Gallet fan. If you get double visors and all the other stuff on it, it does give you a forehead that sticks out half a meter, tho'.

  • I forgot to precise Ulmer 87 A and MSA Gallet LA-100

  • And that's the reason why India will replace their mig and sukhoi pilots helmet by Indian made ones or french made MSA Gallet

  • You're wrong man, the best are Gallet LA-100 helmet and ulmer masks and the second are Gentex HGU helmet and MBU masks. Soviet masks and helmets are cheaper but are just to big and heavy(more than one kg)

  • It;s good :)

  • Somehow a HGU-55 helmet and MBU just doesn't look right in the L-39... ZSh-7 is a better helmet, anyway. :-)
