A guide to sensor cleaning and a quick overview of some different methods available.
I personally use Visible Dust swabs with either Eclipse fluid or Smear away.

Dont be scared, take it slow and sensible and you too can clean your own sensor for a fraction of the cost a shop charges.

  • @Marauder1981 yeah they are expensive. Buying the bigger packs works out a bit better value. Still cheaper than sending it off or taking it in to be cleaned though.

  • Im using Pentax O-ICK kit for four years and its worth all the spent money. Superb tool.

  • There is another vid where the guy uses pec pads wrapped around a home made plastic stick from wendys. He uses eclipse fluid. I didnt like the feel of the visibledust swabs. Good vid.

  • @Marauder1981 : Agree. These swabs won't even cost 10 cents to manufacture and are being sold at exhorbitant prices. Seems like the printer ink scam.

  • These Swabs are good but but waaaaay overpriced 23€ for 4 Swabs and 1ml liquid here in Germany.

  • Thank you, great instruction & demonstration. :o )

  • Thank you sir!!!! Bought a nikon d90 and never cleaned the sensor but now I will!!!

  • I think, the sensor is moderately clean now
