well, in all fairness, madonna is by no means the best singer. she disguises her faults well. but, imo, this is the sign of a great entertainer. she exaggerates her strengths and plays down her weaknesses (or, learns her best to work around them). she's a smart woman. whatever her faults, she's had enough talents and smarts to be around 25 yrs later.
