@Msayler69 - Roscoe Zee was my mother's horse. I was "engaged" to your uncle for many years, of course I was only 6 years old at the time, I completely idolized him. My mother has the original photo finish and win picture and had a painting done of it. It was quite amazing!

Horse was stealing Ludacris lyrics...
"Watch out for the medallion my diamonds are wreckless
It feels like a MIDGET is hanging from my necklace"!!!

Sehenswert - aber nicht lustig.
Respekt vor dieser beeindruckenden Leistung - der Jockey rettet das Pferd, sich selbst und nicht zuletzt sogar noch das zweite Geld!

I was at this race, it was truly remarkable. Most people were watching the race on monitors because it was raining. I was stationed on the wire at the mezzanine level, with a few others. As soon as they hit the wire we ran out to the railings in front of the empty stands to see what would happen because the video stays on the wire shot. Another rider came to his aid, the great Ron Hansen and also Ron warren. Hubbard received a roaring ovation from about 30 of us who were actually there.

Hubbard was a very good young apprentice rider, btw, he was a "hot" apprentice, who won a lot of races as an apprentice. Sadly, years later, he died of a drug overdose or something to that effect.

My Uncle and my cousin are both ex-jockeys here in Santa Anita CA. but my cousin is a galloper. My Uncle has a horse out in his corral as we speak. I rode one about 2 wks. ago and he was really tame. Anyway this was really interesting to see.
