Cleese and Polly (Connie Booth) were married at the time and the two cowrote the scripts to all the Fawlty towers episodes.

@Bestmanme08 Benny Hill was an innovator. Unfortunately he didn't adapt to changing times. But he was the first in Britain to use effects to show himself on screen twice. Apparently it resulted in hundreds of calls to the police, some people panicked. What I remember most about benny hill was some of his very insightful commentary on human nature. The "Benny hill wishing well" sketch being a good example.
