Brand new Blade 400 already crashed once the first day out do to this problem. This is after the rebuild and noticed this same problem luckily hovering only a foot off the deck so it didn't hit hard.

  • I'm willing to bet $10 it was a stripped servo (you can order replacement gears for about $4 and there's plenty of help online on how to replace gears)

  • It was not a stripped servo. I believe there was a problem with the receiver.

  • any news yet?

  • The sent me a new on. It's still in the box :(

  • I would personally just return it to E-Flite and tell them there is an mechanical error in the heli. or, you could tell your local hobby shop people and they might replace it for you. It could be the receiver or gyro that is screwing that up.

  • I called E-Flite this morning and they are going to take this one back and send me another. Bummer part is the turn around time is 10 business days :(

  • I Think its not flying because there is a man attached to the heli lol

  • dude in belgium they where al fucked up and eflite changed them with the futuba !!

do you think i make this shit up ?the other dx models are great but except the dx6 it had the same shit here in belgium so be nice .i'm just saying you know...

  • no they didnt

  • ether a bad servo or you have one of them dodgy tx's with the bad potentio's

i had issues with the stock servos and battery and had 3 battery replacments and a charger replaced, pitty they didnt warrant the crash i had because of the technical failures, so insted of wasting money on stock parts i got hitec servos and they gave me a high capacity battery with 30c burst rate, and i bought a imax b6 with the change, one of my better purchases, not the fake ones of ebay nether lol, its great now

  • You've got the faulty date code for the DX6i. You should send it in. It's a problem with the potentiometers. Luckily, any new ones they send out don't have this problem.

  • My very first flight with my blade 400 was one overhead circle. Once it was directly above me it went into attack mode. Dived at me. I tried to clear out but it banked to the right to follow me. Chopped me in the back and left nasty wounds. Was a servo giving in. DANGEROUS! Since upgraded to Hitec 65MG's.

  • i am interested also in what really caused this being a owner of a blade 400 too. please let me know if possible.

  • the dx6 is crap ...here they removed all of them because of your problem and changed it with a futaba 6ex np now :)

    i just bought 1

  • after a month of flying, my blade 400 is oing the exact thing, but its just the throttle going in and out on its own....i crashed once because of it, as it happened mid flight. now it does it ever time...this along with crappy servos....looking to be not such a good deal after all....the problem with the heli doing whatever it wants seems to be with the dx6i and having bad pots.they will fix it for free i believe minus shipping. hate companies that send crappy stuff and you have to pay shipping.

  • did u end up working out wat it is because mines doing same thing whe u go 3 quarter throttle

  • sounds like your battery voltage is too low and its sending the servo back to a "Failsafe" position, OR, its trying to draw amps and it cant maintain proper alignment pull.

Check to make sure you didn't over discharge battery> ?

    any update?

  • Had this problem a couple weeks ago, and it glitched in a hover 30 seconds into the first battery charge. Caused 150 dollars in damage. My local hobby shop sent the broken bird to Horizen Hobby for warranty repair, and am hoping to hear back soon.

  • Did you checked the gear of your servo motors? During crashes mostly the gear lose a few teeth and so you have no zero backlash gear. That is ofte the reason for that problem. You get new gear wheels for very less money.

  • ok thats good. Well... it beats 1 month... I returned my Blade CX cause of defective 4 in 1... and they took my Blade CX apart and put it back together. Once I got it back, I noticed that they put the left motor and right motor in the wrong place when I got it back. Dont know why they took the motors out... Sold that CX and got me a Blade CP. I just got back from flying it. fun fun fun. Happy flights

  • Yeah. Interesting to know how that's happening.

  • WOW...That's scary. I have a Blade 400 too...Please post the cause of the problem.
