Good one, well done. This could well be worth looking into. I have heard the same in regards to taste. Cat fish I believe also breed in still waters and taste okay. I must google carp & learn more.
Thanks for posting this.

@SurvivalWithBushcraf "You need no fish food or fertilizer for the garden." Then what do you feed the fish?

@EleventhHourEmpire Farming "wild" fish in most states is illegal without a license, which is normally almost impossible to get. Tilapia and catfish are the big do it at home fish from what I've read.

maybe some crayfish instead...less bones you know

Aquaponics systems are great. I think you would love them. You need no fish food or fertilizer for the garden. Look into it. I think you would like it.
What do you feed them and how much does it cost? Are there other fish that you can grow that taste better?

I feed them Eco Lab Legacy Koi & Goldfish Food. Its a giant container, (2Lbs) Its fairly cheap and it lasted all summer. Im not sure what other types of fish you could farm, lake fish are tastier, but they are wild, so catching them and trying to get them to reproduce wouldn't work because their breeding habits would be disrupted.
