K Clarks ad is misleading, that was a metal brush by the way & I'd like to try that with my steel toe caps. By the way who is that bird in the thundery mansion stripping for- the resident ghost?
-
Clarks when they made good shoes and made them in Britain I would never buy from them now
-
Also. We did'nt have these crappy laws about 'Fire proof' .
Anything you toutch'ed in the 70' would go up in flames including
your side burns...!
-
In are house a display cabinet was called a 'Room divider' and it was made of
chipboard. Bargain from MFI at £59.99. Is there any wonder Bonfires were good in the 70's?
-
The furniture in the Woolworths ad looks so cheap and crap by today's standards.
-
johnny briggs dad!!
-
Bloody expensive in those days.
-
As a kid i had a terrible time avoiding those wire brushes walking to school.
-
Gosh K Shoe shops now Clarks in the days when they made good quality British shoes shame about now
-
hanky panky tasted great , i bought loads of them when i was younger shame they stopped making them :(
I can't understand why people mourn the loss of Woolworths. If it was so great, why didn't they shop there? Maybe it would still be in business if they had.
Maria Charles in the ad for Settlers, looks about 20 years younger than she did in the Agony TV series which aired during 1979. She was 50 by then.

And the guy in the Settlers ad is Leslie Schofield.

Indeed it is. He was in Star Wars, if memory serves.

And he also played one of Pat's many husbands - and later Melanie's dad - in EastEnders.
