Muisc Video for quirky Aussie retro themed band, "Electric Hippies" formed by ex "Noiseworks" band members, Justin Stanley and Steve Balbi. The look and feel of this clip was 70's glam rock bands and their apprearence on shows like "Top Of The Pops". We shot this on video and generated the effects on an old analogue video mixer. We also hired an old analogue rock video editor who'd been cutting and post producing clips since the early 70's. The final video tape master was transferred onto film as a kinescope - just like they used to do in the old days when they wanted to send multiple copies around the globe. The wild girl dancing solo on the podium in the cut-off demnim shorts is funky diva, Nikka Costa. Electric Hippie, Justin Stanley , was both her partner and subsequent record producer
It is definitely a great album.

I borrowed this album from my local library today for the second time. The first time I didn't really give it a chance, but now I'm realising that it's really good. Very Beatles/David Bowie inspired and psychedelic. Unfortunately I haven't seen this album available anywhere for purchase. I'm sure I'll find it in a used store of some kind.... if that means at St Vinnies for a buck, or at a school fete for 50c, so be it! LOL. What a shame. They should reissue it with liner notes & bonus tracks.

These guys are great, I've had their CD since forever, Tracks like Acid Lady, Coming home and schizophrenic terry, still got the CD, still listen to it it's got this crazy Holographic cover ( which is why I bought it for like a dollar ) sad to say but true... All hail the Electric Hippies, one of my favourite aussie bands ever!

I used to love these guys. Bought their album and every song was great. Quite a few of my schoolmates owned the album. Shame that Balbi/Stanley didn't carry on... Shame that moron Aussie kids were buying Peter Andre's albums instead
