BRILLIANT! I am a big fan of the whole Bond franchise.. and you just changed my perspective on living daylights... Nicely done man. I give it awesome rating. Gives Dalton a fair chance where Brosnan, Moore have been overrated a million times... The background theme is great too.. a rock version of the bond theme i believe... nice.. very nice... i look forward to more revisions done by you since you seem to have a good grip on what you do and present... cheerios mate...

@irina1296 Agreed. "Daylights" was the most intelligently written Bond film made post-"From Russia With Love". Dalton and Miss d'Abo were excellent in their roles and had the most plausible Bond/Bond girl chemistry in the series. The scene where they escape from behind the Iron Curtain via her cello case is a classic.

@dangale. I remember 1987 pretty well. The Cold War was still very much a part of our lives. That was the year President Reagan made his "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" speech. The Berlin Wall didn't fall until 1989 and the Soviet Union didn't break up until 1991. However, I think you did an excellent job on this fan trailer. And I agree with you that "GoldenEye" is quite a bit overrated. If Dalton had played Bond in it(as originally intended) my opinion might be different.

TLD has the best music score i dont know why they ruin it with the older LALD the best trailer for me it has to start with the ice chase score

maybe anyone could help me to find scene, wherre Bond is traveling in a gas pipeline? I can not really recall if it was actually in The living daylights movie...?

The Living Daylights was so underrated movie - unique movie with great action scenes, storyline and visual effects. Timothy Dalton and Maryam d'Abo did a great job.
The main theme song was awesome (A-Ha)

Cool I thought of this before but didnt think this would work ut it did thow reat job!!!

Nice job but the Cold War ended when the Soviet Union collapsed and that was either 1990 or 1991.

Truly an under-appreciated movie. Fine work. I seem to remember seeing the trailer for TLD and them changing Bond's line from "whoever she is, IT must have scared the living daylights out of her" to "whoever she is, I must have scared the living daylights out of her."
TLD ranks as my 2nd favorite Bond film, but I do agree that it had a bad trailer. The pretty much gave away the whole pretitle sequence in just one minute. And who's idea was it to use the LALD Bond theme?!

It does seem very dated, doesn't it? Bu then in the LIVE AND LET DIE trailer, they music from ON HER MAJESTY"S SECRET SERVICE was used and that seemed equally out of place.

Great editing! Though I don't like the way in which it mimics the Goldeneye trailer or the title cards at the start which seem to give the wrong impression about the film: the cold war wasn't over, drugs have little to do with the film and after 25 years 007's hardly a new hero. Otherwise excellent!

Thanks, glad you like it. I seem to always replying to this...!
a)The idea WAS to mimic the GOLDENEYE trailer.
b) In 1987, the cold war WAS 'essentially' over after 40 years. it had another 3 years max. Easily within Dalton's Bond reign (1987-1994).
c) By 'new' hero, I mean 'new actor', not another Roger Moore film.
d) Drugs are the main source of payment for the villain, half a billion bucks worth!

Brilliant, although I disagree w/ your comment about goldeneye, you did justice to The Living Daylights

That's cool, I understand we all have our favourites - I've just never warmed to GOLDENEYE, it's too rushed, to unpolished, and needs a rewrite badly....in my humble opinion! $300,000,000 dollars worth of box office would suggest otherwise...
