Here's one for the election year: Behind the Freedom Curtain! This, unfortunately, is not a film about communism; it's a plug for the products of the Automatic Voting Machine Company (give them credit for an eye-catching title). While the pitfalls of primitive paper balloting are shown in gleeful detail, voting machines are praised as "automatic and modern."

  • Until we got to programmable voting machines. If you make a mistake, grab another ballot. You may only turn one in anyway. It should just be a peice of card material, stored and counted in public.

    Trust but verify is impossible with voting machines.
