@qmriis Nice. Cockney slang is so complex. Thanks for the response.
-
if you think the english slang used in this movie is hard to understand, forget about trying to watch a film full of Aussie slang.

@lavinlfc That's my fav line in a movie jammed with great lines. This movie has it all, awesome!

What do you do when your not buying stereo's Nick? Finance revolutions?
-
Not when the price is 200 pounds it's not, and certainly not when you've got Liberia's deficit in your skyrocket. Tighter then a duck's butt you are, now let me feel the fibre of your fabric.
-
I think instead of the good taxpayer bailing out the skint Greeks, Nick here can step forward seeing as he has someone elses deficit in his sky rocket
-
lol then after saying Jesus Christ Tom pulls out a cash wad the same size...

@qmriis Thanks! It definitely sounded like alans. I remember asking one of my colleagues at a job stint, awhile back that question; he was British; I forget exactly from where..but I recall saying he was an Everton fan since his Dad was one due to living near there. He had no clue what alans meant. He didn't possess a cockney accent. Thank you for researching this.
What does Nick say at 1:16? "Alright alright keep your... on".. I don't know what the word is that precedes "on".. and is it a British term?

@SoccerRockNY Some googling reveals
"alans" is cockney rhymying slang for what we americans would call "panties."
"alan" is short for "alan whicker"
"alan whickers" rhymes with "knickers"
"knickers" = "a lady's underwear"
all right, all right. keep your alans on.
