What do you think about the kit?
-
Is this kit worth bying? I am currently a beginner at drum but as I progress I will probably start playing metal. Is this kit suitable for that?
-
That's it!
NO more sugar for Johnny! LOL
Just need some cookie monster and some drop C and the PIT will apear!
Good job man.
I plan on getting the DM 10 Studio and running it through some of the software plug-ins like DKFH and stuff like that. Can't afford the Surge stugg, but I think it's the best deal around anyway you slice it.
Would love to hear some Scott Travis Priest stuff if you get the time.

@rsman169 i owned a dm5 before the dm10 and i can say that the sounds are good enought, not so good as dm10 but horrible? nooo! the problem with dm5 is that have less sound samples and less configuration parameters, when compared with dm10. dm6 i haven't tried so i can't say anything about it
-
@Pete9789 Actually the DM-5 sounds terrible, DM6 is not bad to be honest.
-
@rsman169 probably yes but the sounds in that one are horrible.
-
Nice man. I was wondering, do you think a cheaper DM6 would be responsive enough to play blast beats on? around 200-240bpm atleast?
i have a couple of questions dude... first of all where is the ride cymbal standing on?
and secondly... you bought an extra crash cymbal or am i wrong? if yes is it the same alesis' crash cymbal?
by the way... Great drumming dude...

@kostzaf the ride cymbal is standning on a regular cymbal stand (i have an acustic drum kit too with some cymbals, that i only use to play live, and i'm using one of my cymbal stands). about the 2ª crash, yes when i bought the pro kit, i bought also an extra 13'' alesis surge crash, but i prefered a single zone instead a dual zone crash. i bought everything in redcoon.pt. i emailed musicstore.de and thomann but none of these stores are solding alesis surge cymbals alone, just the complete packs
