old comment but you're right. if you run good routes, have good speed, can catch all passes, and be as tough as nails, you can play wide receiver in the NFL.

welker gets absolutely laid out every game; his whole game is about running across the middle (which all WRs hate, and half refuse to do). this leaves you open to monster hits.  I have never seen him complain. He gets up from hits that would make most WRs demand to sit for the rest of the game, like it was absolutely nothing. the guy is a monster. compounded by his relatively small size. he has the #1 and #2 record for most catches by a pat in a single season ever, in his FIRST TWO seasons
