Sandwiches are important. I would never disrespect a sandwich by multitasking. It only gets five minutes to shine and I owe sandwiches my full attention.

The church-like clock in my house chimed midnight throughout most of this. It was quite dramatic.

@Od294 But what's to say that such a change would be a bad thing? For all I know, the human race would be "better" off overall if we were chasing efficiency more than enjoyment. I can't predict what the world might be like under those terms, nor can objectively say what would be "better" or "worse" for the world/humans/myself. I just noticed a personal trend and decided to try something else for nothing more than the sake of experimentation.

Also, I hate your hands.

@sadtoot Thank you for acknowledging me being out of the rut. It's nice to know that my improvement isn't all just in my head.

-"Thoughts from Sandwich"??? Hahaha
-That was great :]
I tend to multitask, but I rarely do it very well.
Sometimes I think that I'll put my makeup on faster if I listen to fast music, but that usually just ends up with me getting distracted and dancing XD My mind tends to... wander... a bit :}

@iLeaveYouWithHugs But dancing is more important than make up anyway!
Thanks Candace.

This is very interesting to me because I feel the same way, and it may come down to the physiological/biological level. There are some studies that suggest that the fact that we multi-task is actually rewiring our brains and therefore the way we think. Since getting my laptop, I feel like my focus has changed. I can't not multi-task or stay on one topic for too long without getting bored or skimming the page, and it's weirding me out because I used to be so attentive and focused in the long term

@KatieGrrl1016 Yeah, I guess it's that rewiring that worries me. I'm really into mentally disciplining myself, and I noticed how much I had slipped with the vegging/multitasking computer time. I would hate to lose my focus.
