I now see why I was told to skip this scene...

@natixxxhot It's a 'stinging' thing, hence the 'sting,' it doesn't damage the skin, just incapacitates the victim so it can be eaten with ease.
-
How is it that when the spider stings frodo the stabbing thing obviously stabs him....and when frodo wakes up in the orc tower...he has no sign AT ALL that he got stabbed?

i have a Brazilian Black Tarantula named Shelobe

i feel so sad when it stings him D:

Oh dear lord. I have nothing against Harry Potter, but if the fans don't stop saying that everything that bares similarity to it is a rehash, or is doing what Harry Potter did 'all over again', I'mma seriously blow up or something. These books were written in the early 1900's(ish). The movies are based upon those books, this very scene is based upon one in the books, and the Harry Potter spider scene was based on books written at least eighty years AFTER. So no. This doesn't copy HP. Ok? Ok.

Can you imagine what Martin Freeman's rage will do to spiders like this? Ahahaha. Haha. Ha. They don't stand a chance.

It's like Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets all over again with the spiders...

can't wait to see the spiders in the hobbit movie
Once I got into a fight with a spider like that. It was hiding in the bottom shelf of my refrigerator, and leapt out at me while I was trying to get some arugala. I fended it off by waving around my salad spinner until I was able to trick it into eating a crouton, which killed it.

@blackswanguy Yes sir. You are correct. The hobbit that carried a Ring of Pure Evil and Destruction for God knows how long despite numerous near death experiences and a general decline in personal well being due to the aforementione ring...is a coward. That's why he kept going. Because he's a coward. Because the only way to be strong is through swordplay and violence.
Okay, I know Aragorn rules and Sam's just the best, but I think Frodo deserves SOME recognition at the very least.
