From their 1996 album, "Best Of Volume 1". This is the first song that the band recorded with original singer David Lee Roth in 12 years!

  • man o man did they fuck up by not releasing a whole album with Roth in 96, this may be their best.

  • THIS is the last great song by Van Halen. When first heard it I was hating the first 1:20 of it...then that main chorus came rushing in and raised the hair on my arms...."Do You Believe?"...

  • This song is by far the best I've heard from VH. It just kicks

  • This song is better than anything on their new album.

  • wow! I didn't know how epic this song is! I guess I didn't give it a fair shake back then.

  • @sealcove70 Oh you know what, that actually makes sense. I think you're right now that I think about it.

  • @Whisperjet727 I have no idea what the song is about, but Lord of the Rings was published in the 1950's, and the Hobbit I think was from the 1930's.

  • I don't think enough ppl give m.a. credit for his backup singing, which really came out when sammy joined up. and now they don't have m.a.....and i don't think dave can carry it by himself anymore, but this is a damn good song.

  • @Whisperjet727 - actually something that has been buggin me about my comment. I actually liked the guitar intro to Me Wise Magic. It's just Roth's vocals at the start that bugged me, kinda came accross as almost a rap. Very different from their stuff prior to the short lived reunion.

  • Van halen baby!!! Me wise magic!!!

  • @coconutstaple I had the same experience. When I heard the first 1:20 I was disgusted that Van Halen would make something like that, but then the chorus kicked in and I haven't stopped listening since

  • @Ariel62073 No, this song was recorded in 1996. Lord of the Rings is far newer than that.
