  • I don't care if Former President General Pressley Merrit Wagoner and her husband loved it and sang along. Many Daughters find that the image of us as a society of ladies gliding in finery or 'pretties' with our pins is elitest and snobbish. It is also sexist. Most of us have more substance than that. This might have been cute John at a function, but distorts our public image of what a Daughter is, and really does today.

  • @Rossdhu16 I believe you have a very minority opinion. Have you been to a Continental Congress lately? Can you say my observations were wrong? Have you really listened to the lyrics? My wife and sister-in-law are both highly professional people. In the historical setting of DC, in the opulent JW Marriot Hotel, in the magnificent setting of the DAR edifice, they both were having a grand time during the near recent Continental Congresses. Relax. Let them enjoy the moment.

  • @johnhom2363 There you go again, referring to your stay in Washington "in the 'OPULENT' JW Hotel." You just don't get it, you are so arrogant. I was there this summer at Continental Congress and was a Congressional Aid years ago. We know your type, and I am still ashamed this video reflects on the DAR. For some, it is all about the pins, the prancing around 'in finery' as you call it. For others it is service, patriotism, preservation and hard work as Daughters. You put your ego before the DAR

  • @Rossdhu16 If you feel so strongly about the image portrayed during Continental Congress, perhaps you should introduce a resolution for women to dress down and eliminate all the pomp and circumstance in the opening and closing sessions. Gracious! You are overreacting.

  • @johnhom2363 It takes two to make a scene. Are you ashamed? I am.

  • @Rossdhu16 I enjoyed my times at Continental Congress and am proud that my wife is a member of NSDAR and the good work it does. In the book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3, it says that there is a proper time for everything. The monthly meetings and special patriotic activites that happen throughout the year are times of education, civil service, and implementation of local and national agendas. Much of Continental Congress is celebratory. My song describes part of that celebration.

  • @johnhom2363 You put your Bible away. You couldn't convince me you had a Christain bone in your body now after all your hateful speech. A good Christian is not prideful and stands humble before the Lord. Your song is a violation of some elses copyright. The music is not yours, only your words. You will hear from the people who hold the copyright. I promise.

  • @Rossdhu16 Former NSDAR President General Pressley Merrit Wagoner and her husband thoroughly enjoyed it when I sang it for them. Aloha!

  • This is not amusing. It is derrogatory to Daughters. I am ashamed.

  • that is very cute, stays in form with some good music/song. A person can HEAR THE WORDS. excellent job.
