Hydrofoil Long Reef, ex Freccia di Mergellina, leaving Manly bound for Circular Quay Sydney one weekend back in the late 80's. Long Reef and her 4 PT50 sisterships Fairlight, Dee Why, Curl Curl and Palm Beach operated on the run between 1966 and 18th March 1991. PT20 Manly started the service in January 1965. The last two hydrofoils ordered, Manly ll and Sydney of the RHS160F class were delivered in 1984 and 1985 respectively.

  • Nice to see the old Rodriquez hydrofoils in action. Have been travelling with these on the west coast of Norway in the -60s :-)
